0189 Woven Dress Coat for Little Girls

Description

Little girls love to dress up just like the big girls. The coat has the big girl look for sizes 12 months, 18 months and 24 months. The long coat has a slight A-line shape. The woven design gives extra warmth and nice body to the coat. The collar & cuffs are in a contrast color of knitted chenille.

The background yarn is the sport weight and the weaving yarn is 2 strands of the sport weight in the same color.  

There are 2 choices of designs that have you lift the floats to a needle after 4 or 5 rows which will give a tucked effect.  This also adds a little more texture to the knit.

Step-by-Step-Instructions

Yarn

Sport 2/7 or any yarn that knits about 7 stitches x 9 ½ rows in the woven design.

Amount

• Coat – 16 ounces
• Collar & cuffs – 12 ounces

You will also need

• 1 yard of matching material (I used a small print).  This is used for the lining of the collar and cuffs.
• Matching thread
• 3 or 4 ¾” buttons
• 1 hook
• Simple sewing skills

Design Disks are available in two different formats

• Brother/Knitking 930 Disks: can be used on all machines KH 930 and newer.  Requires the FB100 disk drive.
• DesignaKnit CD: can be used along with DesignaKnit (.pat, .stp or both) format.  Requires the DesignaKnit software
